Mainstreaming
The WJP’s Mainstreaming is an initiative to advance the Rule of Law through the work of a variety of disciplines: the arts, architecture, business, education, engineering, environment, faith, finance, government, human rights, labor, law and the judiciary, media, public safety, public health, and science. The WJP’s mainstreaming activities are two-fold and include (1) action-oriented multidisciplinary conferences and (2) the Opportunity Fund.
Action-Oriented Meetings
The WJP holds action-oriented meetings with leaders from a range of fields to mainstream Rule of Law advancement, and make strengthening the Rule of Law fundamental to the thinking and work of all professionals. These action-oriented conferences are convened both in the United States and internationally. To date, the WJP has held: two World Justice Forums in Vienna, Austria; regional conferences in Buenos Aires, Singapore, Accra, Prague, Washington D.C., and Cape Town; and domestic mainstreaming meetings in over twenty states.
Opportunity Fund
The WJP’s Opportunity Fund provides seed grant funding, technical assistance, and monitoring and evaluation for multidisciplinary programs to strengthen the Rule of Law in communities, countries, and regions around the world.
The Rule of Law Index and WJP-sponsored Scholarship helps the WJP and WJP stakeholders (including potential grantees) to identify national and regional gaps in the Rule of Law and to target Opportunity Fund grants to address these issues.
